A little real talk: A few years ago I underwent stem cell treatment for the degeneration I was experiencing in my ankles. Multiple doctors told me it was a long shot and warned me not to get my hopes up. I didn't. I'm not a pessimist, but I'm a pragmatist, and I always prefer to be pleasantly surprised rather than wildly disappointed. But this time around, I got my own milagrito. I still live with pain. I still pay for spending any length of time on my feet. But when I went in for treatment, I was logging roughly 5 good days a month, and 25 bad days when every step cost me. Now those numbers are reversed.
Touring is still pretty tough—traversing airports, daily flights, being away from my support system. That means I'm not going to be doing as much of it in the future. But it was important to me to get on the road to celebrate this anniversary with you. SoC changed my life and I'm reminded every day of the incredible readers who made it all happen.
We've got some truly amazing conversation partners joining me and we hope to have some delicious treats and giveaways in store at these events (and throughout the year). So get your crew together and I'll see you on the road.
Tickets for all events available here.
And if none of these cities are near you, come see me at one of these dates in August. We can still talk Crows and we’ll be doing signing lines at all of those events.
NO MOURNERS, YOU GLORIOUS CRIMINALS.
